How to tell a link is official
- Look at the address bar, not the page design: the domain must belong to the platform, such as instagram.com, facebook.com, meta.com, whatsapp.com, tiktok.com, youtube.com or google.com.
- Type the address yourself or use this list. Don't open “recovery” links that someone sends you in a DM or a comment.
- These help pages and forms are free to use. Never give your password or a login code to someone who offers to use them for you.
